Currently I started to explore the new features in FM2009. For beginning I managed my favorite team Arsenal. Now I want to tell you my impression and experience during playing this new FM.
TV view
In this view we can see the players play in 3D format. I really like this feature because I can see the style of play. When counter-attack or during offside. We can see it clearly. This excitement continues when you can see the ball hit the post or save by goalkeeper. You can feel the nervous and pressure. I guarantee.
In this view you can also set the widget that you want to appear on the screen. I like to use player formation widget.
Gender
This time we can choose either to be male or female manager. Of course I will choose male.
Press Conference
Before the match and after the match there will be held press conference. Usually the press conference will be held during derby match or important event like new job. This element add a new dimension in this game. It feel like in real life. The manager feel the pressure during the press conference.
Transfer Rumours
It will tell you the rumour between the player and the team that have interest with them. With estimate fees.
I have finish played for one full season with Arsenal. For next post I will tell the story about my managerial job with Arsenal.

2nd Season Begin
I'm back. Now I want to continue my story with Tottenham in football manager 2008. This time I start with second season.
First thing I do to strengthen my squad is by buying a couple of player during transfer window.
My major transfer are Felipe, Ever Banega and Wijnaldum. This season I prefer to make my defend more hard to break. I also buy Felipe as a replacement for King.
After 15 match of the season, I can see that I on the wright path to qualify for champions league or even challenge for the title. But it is still early to make a prediction. Anything can happen.
Because of the brilliant performance, I got award manager of the month two times on the row.
Steed Malbranque and Matias Fernandes are on form. Both of them score 11 goals. I hope they can continue with this form towards the end of the season.

My fantasy football point
As you can see, this week my total point is 73 points. I'm happy because this is the first time I get more than 40 points. I'm lucky my captain Robinho score hat trick. While the others player also score and assist. But my defend perform badly by conceding a goal. As a result I win head to head for this week.
While for cyki I just get 50 points enough to beat my opponent in head to head league.
Finally Tottenham make the move
Tottenham have sack Juande Ramos, Guy Poyet, Marcos Alvarez and director of football Damien Comolli and replace with ex-portsmouth manager Harry Redknapp 61.
The sack of Damien Comolli give the manager more power to select their own player when the transfer window is open again.
I think this is the best decision that have been made by Daniel Levy according to Tottenham current performance in league.
Last night, I can see Tottenham play different style of football under Redknapp. They play more attacking football. As a result, Tottenham win their first match againts Bolton.

While waiting for football manager 2009 to be released, I played English Premier League by using Tottenham. Now i have finish my first season as Tottenham manager. Below is the review about my first season.
Transfer
I bought two players from Villarreal that's are Matias Fernandes and Senna. I also have to bought Vanden Borre as a replacemant for Pascal Chimbonda. Actually my board act at their own will to accept the transfer.
Tactic
I take this tactic from Vitaliy. As you can see it use four defender, one defensive midfielder, two central midfielder, two wings and alone striker.
I have to switch Keane as right winger because I only use one striker.
Matias Fernandes as attacking midfielder while Jenas more to defensive.
At defense, I use Vanden Borre and Gareth Bale as attacking fullback to help strike force.
When at away game I use counter attack.
Training
I just select auto assign all so that it will divide the work load properly to the coaches.
My performance :
- League Cup : Impressive performance when my team defeated Birmingham, Huddersfield, Fulham and Liverpool. After thrilling match at final, I defeated Everton 3-2. We win league cup in my first season just like real life.
- FA Cup : Third round I win against Oldham. Unfortunately, this time i lose to Liverpool 4-2.
- Euro Cup : Pity to my team. We lose to Stuttgard at Semi Final. I'm almost close to win my second cup in first season.
- EPL : I only manage to finish number 7 behind Arsenal and above Liverpool. Next season I'm still qualify for Euro Cup.
At the end my team got two award that's are second best EPL manager of the year behind Avram Grant and young player of the year by Matias Fernandes and Tom Huddlestone at 3rd place.
